Subway service in New York City faced major disruptions again on Thursday as multiple lines experienced delays or suspensions due to a power-related issue near the West Fourth Street–Washington Square station. The incident mirrors a similar outage earlier this week that also snarled commutes. Commuters should expect delays and service changes in both directions on the B, D, F, and M trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan due to ongoing power-related issues.
In addition to the B, D, F, and M trains, N and Q trains are facing delays due to a medical emergency. PATH trains are also experiencing delays in both directions between Hoboken and the World Trade Center and between Hoboken and 33rd Street, also due to a medical emergency, as reported by Fox5.

Breakdown of multiple lines affected in NYC amid power outage
B trains are out of service for the time being in both directions. While some trains which are already in motion may be working but no new trains have departed from the terminals.
D trains are not working in Brooklyn between 34th Street–Herald Square and 36th Street. Trains bound for the south are turning back for uptown service.
F trains are completely skipping Manhattan amid service disruptions. They are rerouted via the G line between Bergen Street and Court Square and then continuing along the E line to Jackson Heights–Roosevelt Avenue.
M trains are suspended between Delancey Street–Essex Street and Forest Hills–71st Avenue. Meanwhile, the westbound trains will terminate at Chambers Street on the J line.

Power outage earlier this week
On Tuesday, several lines, including A, B, D, F, M, Q, and 6, were also delayed due to the morning rush. It was caused by of power outage near West 4th Street that occurred just before 8:30 am. While the crew was able to resolve the issue eventually after fixing a tripped breaker, the delay lasted for hours.
Thus, following today’s power outage, commuters are advised to look for alternative routes and expect residual delays until the services are completely restored.
