ICC Women’s World Cup trophy reaches Indore | Cricket News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup Trophy Tour reached Indore, with the coveted silverware showcased at some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Rajwada Palace, Gandhi Hall, Central Museum, Sirpur Lake, and Pitra Parvat. Indore will host five matches in the tournament, beginning September 30.One of the major highlights of the five-day stop was the trophy’s visit to schools across the city, where students welcomed it with guards of honour, engaged in cricket-themed games and quizzes, and won exclusive ICC merchandise, bringing the excitement of the World Cup into classrooms.India U-19 cricketer Aayushi Shukla also joined the celebrations.Through a mix of activities at heritage sites and media roadshows, the tour seeks to connect thousands of fans with the World Cup trophy in the build-up to the much-anticipated global event.The tour will next travel to Mumbai, before continuing across select cities in India and Sri Lanka.
