RRB NTPC CBT 1 result 2025 expected soon: Check where and how to download merit list, once released – Times of India


The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the RRB NTPC Graduate Level CBT 1 Result 2025 soon. Candidates who appeared for the exam, which is being conducted from August 7 to September 9, 2025, can check their results on the official regional RRB websites. The result will be published in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates eligible for the next stage of the selection process. With thousands of candidates competing for over 8,000 graduate-level positions, including roles like Station Master, Goods Train Manager, and Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, the result is a key step in the selection journey. Shortlisted candidates will move on to CBT 2, skill tests, and document verification.

How to check the RRB NTPC CBT 1 result 2025

Here is how candidates will be able to check their results online, once released.

  1. Go to the official website of your respective RRB region, for example, rrbcdg.gov.in for the Central Region.
  2. Look for the link titled “RRB NTPC Graduate Level Result 2025” or similar on the homepage.
  3. Download the Result PDF by clicking on the link.
  4. Use Ctrl + F (or Command + F on Mac) to search for your roll number in the PDF.
  5. If your roll number is listed, download and print the PDF for future reference.

What the merit list contains

The RRB NTPC merit list will contain the following information:

  • Roll numbers of shortlisted candidates
  • Category-wise and post-wise cut-off marks
  • Number of vacancies for each post
  • Instructions for next stages

What happens after CBT 1

Once the CBT 1 results are declared and candidates are shortlisted, the next stages of the RRB NTPC recruitment process include:

  1. CBT 2 (Computer-Based Test 2): This is an advanced-level computer-based examination. Only candidates who qualify CBT 1 will be eligible to appear. It assesses in-depth knowledge and aptitude relevant to the applied post.
  2. Skill Test / Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Depending on the post applied for, candidates may have to appear for a Typing Skill Test or CBAT. For example, aspirants for traffic or station management roles undergo CBAT, while clerical positions require typing proficiency.
  3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must present original documents, such as educational certificates, category certificates, and ID proof. This stage confirms the authenticity of the candidate’s eligibility.

Medical Examination: Candidates undergo a medical fitness check to ensure they meet the physical and health standards required for the assigned role. Only medically fit candidates proceed to final appointment.
