NEET MDS revised cut off list released: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially revised the cut-off marks for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2025, following a directive from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The move comes after the Health Ministry ordered a reduction of 19.863 percentile points in the minimum qualifying percentiles for all categories, including General, SC/ST/OBC, and UR-PwBD.The NEET MDS 2025 results were initially declared on May 15, 2025. However, in a letter dated August 10, 2025 (No. V.12025/84/2024-DE), the Health Ministry instructed NBEMS to implement the percentile reduction in accordance with the Dental Council of India’s MDS Regulations, 2017, and the amended provisions under the Master of Dental Surgery Course Regulations, 2018.

NBEMS has stated that the NEET MDS 2025 information bulletin should be read in light of these changes. Eligible candidates who now meet the revised cut-offs are advised to prepare for the upcoming counselling rounds as per the Dental Council of India’s schedule and guidelines.With this percentile reduction, the competition landscape for postgraduate dental admissions will undergo a notable shift. While the decision opens doors for a larger number of candidates, it also means that merit-based rankings will play an even more critical role in seat allocation.
